Technology is everywhere, but in the future we will be even more dependent on it than we are today. As such, it will be granted more focus and so evolve more rapidly.
As change is happening faster than ever before, organizations need to be looking to harvest a larger crop of ideas to keep up with the pace of change. Open Innovation enables organizations to do this encouraging organizations to seek inspiration from a wider ecosystem that includes partners, customers, and peers. It will also help organizations to understand that they don’t have to invent something to get value from it. It is often the best business model that brings in the most revenue, and not the idea itself.
