Concept
The term Web 2.0 describes the changing trends
in the use of web technology and web design that aim to enhance
creativity, communications, secure information sharing, collaboration,
interactivity, and new web functionality.
Web 2.0, Web 3.0, and
future versions of Web (Web x.0) concepts have led to the development
and evolution of web culture, communities, and hosted services, such as
social networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, forums, and
mashups. The evolution towards a more interactive, humanised /
socialised, predictive, and intelligent web will be achieved through the
use of new concepts such as folksonomies, Web 3.0, or the Semantic and
Contextual Web, prediction markets applications, Virtual Reality and
Virtual Worlds (like Second Life), and avatars.
Web 2.0 / Web 3.0
is following three main principles: participation, simplicity, and
data. These improve user experience (Rich Media), client interaction,
and content creation within an open platform.
Trajectory
Web
2.0. philosophy will enhance information sharing across organisations
via Enterprise 2.0. tools which are based in this way of working in the
Internet.
All these applications will be tightly related to cloud
computing and will provide companies of low-cost IT services.
